Mark Hershey, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mark Hershey has served as president and chief executive officer of Armstrong World Industries since April 2026. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer and as senior vice president, Americas. In these roles, he was responsible for the strategy and operations of both company segments, Mineral Fiber and Architectural Specialties, as well as business development, innovation and enterprise-wide strategic planning.

He has played a key role in advancing the company’s growth strategy, including leading numerous commercial and strategic initiatives and contributing to the acquisitions that have transformed the Architectural Specialties segment. He also played a leadership role in the separation of the company’s flooring business in 2016 and the divestiture of its European and Pacific Rim businesses in 2019.

Mark joined Armstrong in 2011 as general counsel and secretary and later served as chief compliance officer and head of sustainability. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Penn State University and a juris doctor from Villanova University School of Law.

Chris Calzaretta, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Chris Calzaretta was appointed chief financial officer of Armstrong World Industries in 2022. He joined the company in 2018 as vice president of Finance, Americas.

Chris brings over 20 years of finance and public accounting experience to his new role of CFO. In his previous role as vice president of Finance, Americas, he was instrumental in developing and implementing the company’s strategic growth plans. In addition, he was responsible for business unit finance, corporate financial planning and analysis, manufacturing finance and accounting, as well as merger and acquisition integration teams. Prior to joining AWI, Chris spent 10 years at E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company where he held finance and accounting roles of increasing responsibility. He additionally held various accounting and financial reporting roles at FMC Corporation, American Meter Company and Delta Airlines. He began his career in public accounting at Ernst and Young.

Chris graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and earned an MBA from Villanova University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Jessica Cicali, Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Secretary

Jessica Cicali joined AWI as senior vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary in 2026. In this position, she is responsible for leading the company’s legal team and compliance programs. Jessica brings more than 20 years of legal, compliance, regulatory and business partnership experience developed through her work with global manufacturing, infrastructure and technology companies.

Prior to joining AWI, she served as executive vice president, chief legal officer, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary for S&B USA, the American division of Shikun & Binui Ltd., an international publicly traded infrastructure company. Previously, she held positions of increasing responsibility at Cardone Industries, Inc., including general counsel and chief administrative officer, where she integrated the chief legal officer and chief people officer functions.

Jessica holds a Juris Doctor from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Immaculata University with a Bachelor of Arts in business management and organizational dynamics.

Jill Crager , Senior Vice President, Sales and Digital Marketing

Jill Crager was named senior vice president, Sales and Digital Marketing in 2025. In this position, she is responsible for all distribution and direct sales channels, pricing, customer service and commercial digitalization.  

Jill was named senior vice president, Sales Operations in 2022. Previously, Jill served as vice president, Digitalization where she led the effort to optimize Armstrong’s customer experiences through digital platforms and initiatives, simultaneously building and leveraging new technologies to enhance the company’s preeminent sales and service model. From 2013 to 2019 she was vice president, National Accounts and Retail, where she led the expansion of existing and new sales and distribution channels including bringing Armstrong products to maintenance, repair and operations and healthcare group purchasing organizations. Jill joined the company in 1998 in the information technology (IT) department before transitioning to customer-focused roles in 2005 when she became the leader of AWI’s customer focus center.

Jill earned her degree in Computer Science from The Pennsylvania State University.

Michael Winters, Senior Vice President, Architectural Specialties and Corporate Development

Mike Winters was appointed senior vice president, Architectural Specialties and Corporate Development, in 2026. He has more than 30 years of experience with Armstrong World Industries, holding a series of leadership roles across operations, supply chain, human resources and general management.

Mike most recently served as vice president of Architectural Specialties, where he led an approximately $600 million business segment delivering specialty ceiling and wall solutions across multiple commercial markets. In this role, he oversaw a team of more than 1,800 employees and 17 manufacturing sites across North America. He was responsible for driving significant growth through strategic expansion by completing 10 acquisitions and accelerating product innovation. His leadership was instrumental in integrating these acquisitions and optimizing go to market, manufacturing and supply chain activities for the company's diverse portfolio of brands in the ceilings, walls and exteriors industry.

Earlier in his career, Mike held several senior leadership roles at Armstrong, including vice president of Americas Operations and Supply Chain and vice president of Europe Operations and Global Supply Chain. His experience includes leading large-scale manufacturing and supply chain organizations, advancing operational performance through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and supporting global business strategy through both domestic and international assignments. He also served as vice president of Global Human Resources and held plant leadership roles, including plant manager in Macon, Georgia.

Mike holds a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.

M. Hunter Gross, Vice President of Mineral Fiber Operations

Hunter Gross was appointed vice president of Mineral Fiber in 2026. He rejoined Armstrong World Industries in 2017 after spending two years with Armstrong Flooring Inc. as finance leader of the wood business.

Hunter has more than 15 years of experience with the company and brings deep financial and operational expertise to his role. He is responsible for leading the Mineral Fiber business, with a focus on growth, innovation and operational excellence to deliver value for customers and stakeholders.

Prior to his current role, Hunter served as vice president, Americas Finance, where he provided strategic and financial leadership to support growth and profitability across the Americas business. Earlier in his career at Armstrong, he held a series of domestic and international finance roles of increasing responsibility, including director of Mineral Fiber Finance and manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Hunter holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Elizabethtown College.

Michael Lorenz, Vice President of Technology

Mike was appointed vice president of Technology in 2026. He joined Armstrong World Industries in 2004 and has held a series of leadership roles across innovation, engineering and operations.

Mike has more than 20 years of experience with the company and brings deep expertise in innovation, product development and technical leadership to his role. He is responsible for leading the Technology organization, advancing Armstrong’s innovation pipeline and strengthening the company’s technical capabilities to support long-term growth.

Prior to his current role, Mike served as senior director of Technology, where he led teams across research and development, new product development, quality and product stewardship. Earlier in his career, he held key leadership roles including director of Innovation and director of Capital Engineering, and began his tenure with Armstrong as a Six Sigma Black Belt, later advancing to Master Black Belt. Before joining Armstrong, he held roles in domestic and international operations and product development at NCR Corporation.

Mike holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Thomas More University.

Brian Nabet, Vice President & Chief Information Officer

Brian Nabet was appointed vice president and chief information officer of Armstrong World Industries in 2023. He joined the company in 2019 as director, Foundational Services and Operations. Brian brings more than 25 years of IT operations and leadership experience to his role.

As CIO, Brian co-leads the company’s strategic digital initiatives, focusing on enterprise platform modernization and the integration of artificial intelligence. He is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the IT organization and overseeing global infrastructure, cybersecurity and manufacturing technology to support Armstrong’s operational performance and long-term growth strategy.

Prior to his current role, Brian served as vice president, IT Foundational Services and Operations. In this role, he steered the company’s IT infrastructure and operations agenda, including cybersecurity and the IT Manufacturing Steering Committee.

Before joining Armstrong, Brian held various IT leadership positions of increasing responsibility where he specialized in scaling enterprise infrastructure and driving technology-led organizational change.

Brian earned a master’s degree in information technology from Towson University and a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Loyola University Maryland.

Jim Burge, Controller

Jim Burge is controller and vice president of Armstrong World Industries. He joined the company in 2015.

Prior to assuming this position in 2021, Jim held several finance roles of increasing responsibility including controller, Armstrong Ceilings and Walls, external reporting and consolidations manager and external reporting manager. Before joining the company, Jim worked in auditing, controller and financial reporting roles with Fulton Financial Corporation, York International and the public accounting firm Grant Thornton LLP.

Jim is a certified public accountant and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bucknell University.
